If you can live with deviations in the 20% to 40% range for minor elements and less even worse for micro elements be my guest. Sort of like purchasing a watch that you know before hand that it will not provide accurate times.
We just finished looking at the extreme variability in soil test results over just 10 feet. Add to all this unless the lab has done research in the soil type being tested their recommendations are not usable.
At the same time, with the exception of the U of California Lab, the tissue analysis results from one lab will correlate with results from any other lab in the country.

Sort of reminds me of the bovine scat propagated by the TAMU Soils Lab,
