| I'm with the guys suggesting the row crop cultivating. When we have those beating rains "here" it really seems to kick things in gear. Our soils can get really tight and rock hard, a vibra tine cultivator won't go in. We've got an old 8 row IH 53 rc cultivator that we keep around just for the purpose. That thing will break a 3-4 inch crust but you've really got to drive slow, it has crop shields on it but those huge chunks coming up can still break small corn off or cover it up, it takes time but I believe it adds yield in the long run. | |
