Mid Michigan | Beans need to shoot out of the ground in a short time. The more time they spend under the surface pushing and trying to grow they use up all their vigor and have a hard time thriving. The plants never really have the health they should have. We had a 40 acre field that we got 15 acres planted before a rain. It pounded those beans. Got in later and did the other 25 about 10 or more days later and they were 3 times as good as the first ones at the end of the year. Was shocking but I learned that beans need to come up fast. | |
