I think you are right and the simplest way of looking at it.... I have a 6row and add a 5 row spitter on to do beans, and I short them 15 inches... But if you would add a 7 row spitter to a 6 row would you not leave your markers alone??


Now for the real ?? how do I get the monitor to read the area right?? I do not have the monitor hook to the back planter..
No then you need to move them out 15 inches so the outside row is not in same place coming back next pass. For monitor 16.25 is the correct width. Multiply number of rows times row width then divide by 12 to get your planting width. Most of the time we tend to over think this thing when its not that complicated if we just imagine the planter in the field.
