no welfare payments on this farm!!!!!!!! | its hard to replace manure with commercial fertilizer, very hard, with your numbers i will tell you that you need to really hold out on these guys and play hard ball, a 5% moisture dif in the product can really add up. i would determnine a dry matter cost if you can and operate both purchase, and freight and application off of dry matter basis, so they are forced to naturally work with it when its dryer and more beneficial to you. list to the guys who work with litter alot. if you want to question if the manure is worth it or listen to those stupid individuals who say the commercial fert will do the same then simply go for a walk in the section you live in this summer, you dont need any high tech equipment to tell where the animals were fed years ago and manure was applied. you will have your answer then. good luck |
