I prefer to run narrow tires across the rows. If your going to run a floater tire its best to do it before germination and in dryer conditions. Say plant it and run it before starting the water.
Driving down the rows would be best, but not many people can do it and they usually end up running over more than just cutting a line and falling back in everytime you spray.
