GT500KR53 - 5/17/2016 19:45

My son has a 13 I think with a little over 50k on it that he bought new, never pulled or abused it,,,

it just spent the last week and a half in the shop working on cam phasers, cam, timing chain issue, tensioners, vacuum pump, both are tsb issues that came about because of running poorly, dieing, no power, clattering noise, 5 codes that just suddenly occurred one day after getting off work and started it up to go home,,,,
they almost did a complete tear down on the engine,, a back story is a month ago he took it in because he was checking the oil and it was way over full, like 2 inches up on the dipstick, he changed the oil and took it to the dealer, they said it was a PVC issue but couldn't actually find a real problem at that time,,, googling the issues and it's a common issue with them


he is kinda regretting the eco boost now,, he hopes it will now last to 100k or more,, in the back of his mind it makes him question if it will last now,,,
