Cannot advise on the pump itself but I had one of those Chinese Honda knockoffs from Harbor Freight for a few years. It started and ran just as good as a real Honda and never caused me any trouble. The hardware they use on them is soft junk, but good enough. My only complaint was the throttle was quite stiff on it. I would buy another long before I would spend 10 cents on a brand new Briggs. Never could keep those things running. Best part is if they die you toss them in the junk pile and buy another. With an expensive Honda you feel obligated to try to fix it.

Have 2 briggs if someone wants them cheap. Had 3 or 4 of the clones. Work good but like mentioned the water gets to them like the Briggs. I will only buy genuine Honda's for anything I depend on. Too much frustration after year 1 with the cheap ones.
