Just make it simple.
It's simpler now than ever. Every new gadget is doing something more for you, automatically. More and more of the problems I work on are solved just by pushing a few buttons.
Calling in a code to get an answer isn't more complicated, it's less. With an old machine, you bring someone onsite to diagnose the issue manually. Best case, the code eliminates the diagnosis as the computer's diagnosed it already for you. Worst case, the code has already narrowed the focus to a specific area of the machine and has simplified the process of manual diagnosis. |
