I ran one for 12 years. Been planting green for 5 and have not found a good way to get it shut with the red planter. Never really hurt me but I always thought i could do better. That was probably the biggest reason I ended up with a Kinze this year. Running some of the row with thompsons and some with Yetter cast spiked and they are both doing a better job than I could ever get the case to do. Still not perfect but better.

One thing I never tried that looked interesting is a wheel you can only get from the dealership Hoober in PA. They sell a small wavy coulter that for case closing wheels. Look it up or call them. My brother in law uses them. I just found them last year. They also make an aftermarket air or hydraulic down pressure kit to replace the spring on the closing wheel pressure. Sort of like the new 2150s have.....
