South Western Ontario, Canada | I much rather work Sunday at a relaxed pace then work like an idiot the other 6 days to make up for not working Sunday.
Have done both ways so I'm not speaking out of line here.
We have few dealerships that WON'T work Sundays EVER. While I respect everyone's religion it does throw a wrench into others game plans. We do avoid calling someone out as much as possible and it has to be bad for us to call NOT a cab fan either!
I'm not sure how they have dealt with the livestock farmers that have no choice if the equipment goes down.
Worked many jobs that put me on call 24/7/365, truck shops did rotate but not fire department or livestock farming.
I get a kick out of the guys that say "work on Sunday, fix on Monday".........if it was going to break IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT DAY IT IS!!!
