Ron, this area is a whole lot younger than NE Ill so a few still remember when electric lines running to every house and farm were only a dream. So too with telephone lines or even more amazing portable shirt pocket smart phones that had towers to connect to. There are still pictures floating around from the days when Wolf Point had unpaved streets and the idea of roads that were paved, bridges across the Missouri, and later, controlled access hiways that came to be known as the Interstate. All of this would have been greeted with looks of amazement if they'd have been mentioned to the folks who homesteaded here.

I call it progress and I love it.
