Right of first refusal only gives you an opportunity to "bid" on it after the seller gets an offer.
The other posters are right. It's worth more to you than anyone else, yet you might get somebody coming in with some stupid money just to have a house site. The bins & utility have little value. The shed has some value. The biggest value is the land itself and what it connects to (your land).
Had a similar scenario come up a few years ago. Was surfing craigslist late one night. Saw my town name in a property listing. Lo and behold it was the 8 acres in the corner of my 130. It was an OLD house site. Mostly in 10 year old pines and overgrowth (read good for nothing). Scraped up enough money to buy it before word got out and someone else came into the corner of my place. Pure happenstance that I even saw the ad. | |
