Chuck my oldest son has a very close friend that lives down the road in Mills river.
They tend Biltmore. They grow about 2500 acres of corn. If you have time go down 26 to the Mills River exit and go up along the river and see some bottom land.
Like you I always thought all the farms around Asheville were Mts. but along the French broad river south of there you have some real good land
