that sucks and I have no answer for you but what I did notice is that you are one smart man, I noticed you didn't waste your porch dead space, I drive a concrete tk. and see all the time the footing and walls poured for the porch and then back filled and space lost, see you put a door into it and can use it for a fruit cellar or safe room but it's not wasted.good job and good luck
