I would let him patch the floor and tubes, and that he agrees to cover future issues with any issues with the tube splices.
If it was my floor, I would insist on full epoxy floor, so I won't see the patch :)
He mentioned a 10 year warranty but really a warranty isn't worth much. If they go out of business.....?
Exactly. Promises from contractors are worth the cost of the paper they're printed on and no more. And since a large majority of contractors won't put it in writing, worth even less.
It's really a simple concept. Do it right, or else.
