Agree. Apparently a building plan isn't worth much to the plumber, and whatever agreement or contract you already have with the general doesn't seem to be worth much to him/her on this first go-around.
If for some reason you end up with a warranty, one way or another, so you have some enforcement mechanism? Liquidated damages, whatever?
