Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border | Quite a few of the combines from this area get sold to a group of Mennonites from down there. They stop by every other year or so. Pay cash. Can remember every thing you every sold to them. And pretty much every thing you say to them. The first year I sold them a combine, and I wasn't really sure if I was going to get paid for loading like they said they would. I had to take the wheels off, and take the auger off, and ladders and a whole bunch of stuff. The one guy joked about taking off with out paying for the teardown. I pointed to the biggest loader I had in the yard at the time and said " I am sure I could hook on to the combine with the loader and shake the trailer off of it.". His eyes got really big, and then I cracked a smile. He tells me about that every time I see him. |
