Being paid well for easements is different than crop damages.
Re. "being paid more than they were bought for.....", that has no bearing. Our home 160A was bought in 1906 by our great-grandfather for exactly $100/A. If an easement should be offered, should we be happy with $101/A on something like those power lines in the OP?
