Why not? Our oldest daughter had 2 men and a woman standing with her on her side, and her husband a 2 men and a woman on his side.
Yes, all the men wore black tuxedos, and the women wore the same burgandy colored dresses.
Both bride and groom said that these people were their best friends all their lives, so "why not" treat them like best friends. Made sense to me.
