I assume I'm around your age given you just graduated college but I'll be blunt. I own a fairly nice sprayer and do all of our own spraying plus custom work. The word "new" was an instant red flag for me. Starting out you won't be able to swing a new machine or even a very low houred machine. Look for a machine with moderate hours that has a history of being well maintained. Learn how to do your own repairs in an effort to save money. Bear in mind your own acres come first, that is the real value in owning a sprayer. I could spray the entire county it seems if I wanted to. Unfortunately I have to make a choice if I want to farm or be a custom applicator. Don't leave your family hanging during the bust season.

Also that test is extremely easy, study up a little bit and take it again before even shopping for machines.

I'm not trying to be mean I'm just trying to share what I've learned.
