It is the indicator light for the glow plugs. I have had trouble losing power when the antifreeze level would get low. The system gets air in it. My dealer would come out a bleed the air out, and it would be fine. I made sure to keep the reservoir full and it solved the problem. It sounds crazy but this was the solution from Deere on a dtach case
