We've had a wl42 on the front of a 986 IH for many years...probably since the late 80's. The loader has came off the tractor about 8 times since then mostly in the past 3 years. Front end has held up just fine. I'm sure you would be just fine driving it (as long as it isn't an 86 series IH...I despise that thing).

We use it mostly for loading bales and cleaning pens...not light work. Loader has been welded several times on account of abuse...
