CattleTx - 5/11/2016 10:25 "How do these sensors measure the oil life?" They do not actually measure useful oil life. That would take sensors for chemical analysis that would be too expensive to put in vehicles. The car's onboard computer is using an algoritm to compute a probable remaining oil life based on data that it can collect about how the vehicle has been driven since the last oil change.

Om my Ram diesel when I change the oil and fuel filters at the same time and reset it the fuel will be 10 miles ahead of the oil when it is time to change again. What's up with that?
