I would guess that you won't see that in bawlers. Yearling and weaned calves yes. I think it's way more prevalent than a guy realizes. We run 2% consistent using Direct's program. I've seen 6-8% on bawlers out of barns from pay weight to my processing weight.

Agree with you on not wanting to buy bawlers that were hauled in way ahead of time. A good barn should know better than to allow that.
