NW Central Ohio | ...truth be told...it's probably not the "Petroleum/Oil" doing the staining...it's the contamination in the oil or grease (carbon/dirt/metal filings) that are remaining in the clothes. If you are REALLY getting them oily....a soaking in something like Purple Power or Simple Green will get them started on removing the oil. A heavy application of Tide should then remove the rest of it. It might not remove the dirt in the fibers of the cloth though...and that's what causes the stain. Only additional washings will eventually work it out. | |
