My experience is with spraying paraquat (Gramaxone) underneath trees in a commercial orchard, thinning raspberry canes, narrowing of strawberry rows AKA chemical renovation. Good news is ...your weather conditions sound about perfect, Paraquat works best carried in a lot of water, the foliage being already damp was desirable, cloudy sky for awhile afterwards helped too. I'd expect that burndown of yours to be toasty following a couple hours hot sun.
However, spraying paraquat in gusty winds, especially with boom sprayers running at high ground speeds is not something that can be safely done. That product is far too toxic to be drifting period. | |
