I was hauling an oversize permit load a couple months ago and was running 14,500# on a 14,600# front axle.  Pulled in to get fuel and decided to have the tire shop re-torq the front lugs for safety.   Tire guy found one lug that was barely finger tight and a few more that were under torque.  Money well spent.
