eastern Kansas | can't recommend a specific variety but we have done it here at lot of different times with excellent results. use a JD 750 no-till drill. Usually drill it and then cross drill it. that is not neccessary but sure makes a solid stand. beats spending hours and hours dragging a harrow trying to firm the ground back up after tilling it soft. and then having a gully washer mess it all up and bury the seed anyway | |
