Here | In my shop we use an impact set on low as to not over tighten and warp the rotors, then we torque them 2 times around. I have had them come loose a couple times over the yrs. on aluminum rims. It doesn't matter, they should be retighted after 200 mi. but that will never happen, as people are to busy to bring back, hence the disclaimer to have them retorqued. People need to have common sense and some responsibility, Its not there fault unless they didn't torque them at all. I don't think there is a shop out there that hasn't had it happen, if they haven't then they are using an impact to over tighten. | |
