I had a tire changed on a gooseneck trailer last winter, tire shop said those were a bad rim design (duals with a flat ring outside the duals for the nuts to tighten against) he said watch it close, torqued it 3 times in 500 km and still wasn't staying tight, think it took the 4th retightening to stay tight.
