SW Saskatchewan | Though we tend to think of Ft McMurray as being far north in BC, it is considerably south of the Peace River region of BC and Alberta where agricultural land stretches nearly to the NWT border.
I would think that drainage would be the major problem plus the area is not known for a surplus of roads so as it now stands the infrastructure is not there to support an ag industry. There is really no shortage of farmland in North America with both Govt and conservation groups taking acres out of production in both Canada and the US. | |
