Subject: RE: Mosquito Repellant

Troy, Missouri
Here in Missouri, we have what they call Buffalo Gnats, or Black Flies. They are troublesome little beasts and OFF/ DEET attracts them I think rather than repels them. To keep them at bay, many people use Buggins. It is a mix of Vanilla, Mint and Rose. It smells good unlike DEET. And it keeps the buffalo gnats away. I've tried using it to keep the mosquito's away with some success. Might look into making your own if they don't have Buggins anywhere down there in Oklahoma; people make it from vanilla, mint and rose extracts around here.
