How deep is too deep when planting rice. We planted about 3/4-1 in moisture. Seems like in other areas it's deeper than that. It's not all up an was planted on 4-29-16 Lakast is the variety
When planting rice I always like to "see a little on the ground" as the old timers say. I have no experience with Lakast so i can't help you there but i think you are a little deep in spots from what you describe. Another tip Dad has taught me is to look at all the field conditions when you plant and take notice of the clods. If there are clods, when it rains and they melt, how deep does that put your seed? |
