Adelaide Hills, South Australia | Down here there has been a huge difference in the arrangements for having cows where you work. I think the best is where the cows are leased by the farm on standard rates. That way if people want to leave the employment the cows could stay or go without hassles. Otherwise I have seen peoples relationships go sour because one party thought the other owed them something.
I am interested to hear what works. We may be changing our setup here so we might need a herd manager, but they will need to do all the milking, or get it done. |
