Supposed to be a true story, names were changed because I don't want a phone call from a lawyer:

Someone in the company home office decided all the company vehicles needed deer whistles.  So corporate bought a bunch and sent them down for all the company vehicles.  Local employees complied and installed them.  Employees also hit 3 deer the first week they were installed.

Someone from corporate called to see how the deer whistles were working.  Local manager replied "Aw, pretty good if you can keep the deer hair out of them."
