Floyd County, Iowa | I assume you're talking about striped gophers (at least that's what we have here).
I like to sit back with a .22 and pop them. Not always successful, but it's fun. I'm not a fan of poison out on the open like that.
Dad used to use a rat trap baited with peanut butter. Was pretty successful that way.
I know what you mean about them digging it up, though. Looks terrible, but it's comical how they dig that little hole every 6 inches. I used to farm land around a city lagoon and the geese were murder on newly emerged beans. On that farm there were gophers, deer, turkeys, geese, and the neighbor's loose livestock competing with me for the crop. | |
