North Central Illinois | You are missing the point completely. Again, it has absolutely nothing to do with the truth. Whether the cartoonist told the truth or lied is irrelevant. Even if the truth is unpleasant it is irrelevant. Look at it this way. Suppose I work for a company that has a few clients that really do a lot of business with us. Let us further suppose that at a company picnic or even on Facebook, I make the casual observation that the wife of the CEO of one of our big clients is incredibly ugly. Word eventually gets back to this CEO and he calls my boss and demands I be fired or the guy takes his business elsewhere. Guess what is going to happen? I am going to get fired even though the woman might be truly ugly and everyone thinks so. My boss would be completely justified in firing me if he so chose. Somebody found this guy's cartoon offensive and complained. The guy got fired. It's that simple. End of story. What part of it are you not understanding? | |
