NS Canada | Bad time of year for fires up here, have all the dead stuff on the ground from fall and winter, but then the period when it warms up and dries out before it greens up everything is ready to burn. Add the fact they didnt get much snowfall and then spring temps have been high and dry, and this is what happens. It will be a long summer of fires if conditions keep up.
State of emergency was declared last evening, And another smaller fire caused some residents to be evacuated from another town west of edmonton.
Airport on fire in fort mac, and 2 ppl killed one on of the 2 highways out of fort mac, when an SUV and semi collided, starting yet another fire.
