| Its not against any rules to run the house off the farm and shop meter and to set up a meter for the house (hide it from the power company meter reader) to be able to measure the power used in the house. I've done that for industrial plants to own their own meters to divide the load charges. It would even be practical to split the house meter by metering the office on its own so the farm work in the house could be documented.
