5-6 oz is pretty high for pre emerge in the spring.(according to our chemical rep) would be fine in the fall. We spray 4 oz here about 2 weeks before planting (3rd week of april or so) and that gets us into late june early july before we spray again. last year we had a field we couldn't get back in to spray and it was still mainly clean at harvest.
