Everyone except the homeless effectively pay property tax whether they own property or not. When you rent a property from someone else, part of what you're paying is to cover the property tax that the owner pays. Any landlord that doesn't account for that cost won't be a landlord for long. Any farmer should know this, as that is part of the justification landlords use for high cash rents.
