The school buses here travel into neighboring districts to pick up kids.
Here too, there are at least 3 different districts pick up kids in the small town where I graduated.
Even back, when I was in school (50+ years ago) there was some crisscrossing. As I recall you could attend school in the neighboring district if your land touched land in the other district. If you did this then someone's land that touched yours was also eligible. My school bus would meet the one from the neighboring district which was crossing about 1 1/4 miles into our district. |
