Grand Island, Nebraska | I don't quite understand your issue. PTO hp has long been the standard to measure power and used extensively in sales literature. Drawbar hp has too many variables due to ground conditions, tires, ballasting, etc. The Nebraska tractor tests will give you more drawbar hp info, but remember they are tested on concrete. As long as I have been involved with the ag industry, 40+ years, PTO hp has always been the standard except on the high hp 4wd that didn't have ptos. Only when CNH started using actual engine hp as a model number did people start to be confused. It all comes down to doing your homework before buying. | |
