1. Ask your power co, everyone is a little different and little different policies. Typically they are responsible through the meter and you are beyond. But sometimes one is pleasantly or badly surprised by the policy of the decade......

2. Go underground. Be done with the issues, don't fuss with buying poles.

3. 3 phase is a luxury many can't get, it is a real asset to have it available. Typically it is very expensive to restart, and terribly expensive to get. At least you have it there even if its turned off. I would be real scared of losing it or finding you will pay dearly to restart it again someday if you need it. But if you don't need or use it, well then why pay monthly.....

4. Typically 3 phase and single phase are different worlds; what is powering your shed area now, you have 3phase only there? How will you get single phase from the house over to the sheds, how big is your house service, panel? Will it handle the extra shed use? Does anything there use 3phase, you won't like the costs of converting motors to single phase...... This sounds a bit confusing, I would want to understand how it is now, and what it takes to change.......
