When I was in grade school the cashier lunch lady would yell out "reduced"! To the servers when a kid came through the line with the reduced card. I dont know why I guess the meal was different. But she made sure that everyone heard it. So you didnt want to be that kid cause it would be embarrassing. Now days im sure its all hush hush and nobody cares. So a lot more do it
