Subject: RE: How do you handle bulls?

Northwest Missouri
I've got bulls in 5 different pens. Makes more work having bulls so many places but it works so much better than trying to run them all together. All my younger bulls in one, and then only 3 or 4 older bulls in each of the other pens. We move all of them on foot or on an atv. We don't crowd them together and haul them all in a separate compartment to the vet to test. Haven't had a hurt bull from fighting since I started using more pens. Before that, hurt or broken legs were about an every year deal. I don't keep anything that is the least bit wild and I don't keep any bull that won't stay where he's supposed to. I feed them grain fairly often so they usually move easy.

I respect bulls, same way I do any animal but I don't hesitate to get in a pen on foot with any of my bulls.
