J&M even admits they had a problem with the baskets with the straight bars. They have since went with the spiral bars to try to fix that problem. We bought a new 29' right before they released the newer style. Ours was doing same thing. We talked to J&M and they took ours back and rebuilt it with the spiral bars at no cost. It is now better but not a cure all. We run a cultipacker when we can. Very smooth.

Interesting. I run a 45' J&M and don't have any problems out of it, other than bending the hitch tube. Im pulling it behind a 44' 2210 John Deere field cultivator at about 5" deep, maybe a tad more. 8-10 mph and I have not noticed any speed bumps or anything out of it. If it was doing it I would know because the planter guy would be hollerin about it. I have the baskets pitched back though, so that there is more pressure on the rear one than the front one. I'm pretty sure I have the straight bar baskets.
