A friend of mine got a 100 dollar dot fine for pulling a dual wheel trailer behind a single wheel pickup. They said the gvw of the trailer was more than the truck capacity.
I dont agree, but my understanding is you need to have everything "equal or overdone" to be legal. Starting at the tires, going to axl going to trailer going to truck even when empty.
