In MN and I think Iowa, DOT cops are state troopers, the IA cars say Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, in MN they use Tahoes, Yukons and Suburbans they say State Trooper on the vehicle and below that commercial vehicle something, something. We all say the DOT stopped us or checked us because we end up getting a DOT inspection.
